On Thursday, November 12th, 2015, Parsons School of Design hosted a sold-out event featuring the acclaimed architect Frank Gehry in conversation with Paul Goldberger.
Delving into the life and work of the famed designer, Goldberger’s topics of conversation took the audience along on an exploration of Gehry’s groundbreaking collection of contributions to contemporary architecture. Touching on topics covered in Goldberger’s recently published biography on Gehry, Building Art, the discussion traced the trajectory of the architect’s career and provoked further inquiry into the many misconceptions of his work. The easy dialogue between Gehry and Goldberger offered those in attendance exclusive insights into the creative processes and thinking of the architect. Reflecting the spirit of experimentation seen in many of his designs, Gehry advised students in the audience to follow their intuition in order to find their own architectural language.
