Previewing Palm Springs Modernism

While much of the country is blanketed in snow, sunny Palm Springs, California, is preparing to host the 15th annual Palm Springs Modernism Show and Sale at the Palm Springs Convention Center on February 13–16. The show is part of Modernism Week, which takes place February 12–22 and celebrates midcentury modern design, architecture, art, and fashion.

Dharam Damama of Los Angeles will be exhibiting furniture and art.

Z Modern of Denver will also be exhibiting at this year’s show.

More than 85 national and international exhibitors will present collections from all design movements of the 20th century. On display will be furniture, art, lighting, textiles, sculpture, and other accessories. The following images offer a preview of some products that will be at this year’s show.

Sputnik Modern will be presenting a Frank Lloyd Wright executive armchair from the offices of the Harold C. Price Co. Tower in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, circa 1956.

On view at the show will be Solo Chairs by John Follis for Fortress/Danish Modern NoHo.

A la Mod of Palm Springs will be showing Karl Springer Club Chairs from the 1980s.

The Drexel Biscayne Floating Leather Top Desk from Danish Modern NoHo will be at the show.

The Bwana Chair by Finn Juhl for France & Son Danish Modern NoHo will be on display.
