Later that evening, WantedDesign kicked off its opening night celebration at Industry City in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. It was hard to miss the giant gold pinata in the center of the courtyard, which was an art installation by artist Sebastian Errazuriz, titled “XX Century Capital” and filled with $1,000 in cash.

In addition to drinks and dancing, the party featured other exhibitions such as 100% TobeUs, a collection of 100 wooden cars created by 100 international designers, including Todd Bracher, Francois Chambard, Dror, Joe Doucet, David Weeks, Frederick McSwain, Fort Standard, Marc Thorpe and Paul Loebach. The project hopes to bring a message of sustainability and mindful use of objects to children and adults.
