Sights of Greenbuild 2012

The 11th USGBC Greenbuild International Conference & Expo, last week in San Francisco, may have been the largest gathering yet for the green building industry. Overall attendance, including exhibitors, was expected to be about 35,000, at the LEED Gold Moscone Center.

This was my ninth Greenbuild, having missed only the inaugural event in 2002 and one other year, and this was my first as editor in chief of Contract. From the small, focused trade show and conference I witnessed in 2003 in Pittsburgh and 2004 in Portland, Oregon, I have seen Greenbuild move from specialty event to become a much more regular convention for the architecture, design, and construction industry.

Here are a few of the sights from the event.
