Think Pink, Sit Pretty

When designers and charitable causes come together, magic happens…as does great design.

As many know, October is national breast cancer awareness month and every year, many projects are launched to help support the fight against this devastating disease that affects so many. This year, SUITE New York is launching, in conjunction with, the Pink Wishbone Project benefiting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). This initiative is supporting a great foundation, and as far as design is concerned, for the first time in history, the legendary Wishbone chair by Hans Wegner is offered in a cotton candy pink (very stylish). And another exciting part: 20 buzzworthy female interior designers have created unique cushions for the chair that will be auctioned off online. These leading ladies include Kit Kemp, Kelly Wearstler, Laura Kirar, Alexandra Champalimaud, and Celerie Kemble.

Visit Barney's New York on October 7 to see the 20 chairs on display, meet BCRF founder Evelyn Lauder, and interact with some of the designers of these beyond-cool cushions.

Be sure to log on to to place your bid. The online auction is open from October 7 through October 28.
