Planning ahead

Perhaps taking the lesson of the Bird's Nest's demise to heart, the planners behind London's Olympic facilities for the 2012 games has unveiled its post-games plan for the city's stadium. The 80,000-person venue, according to The Associated Press, will shift to house a secondary school and annual track meets.  Originally, a local football club was on line to lease the facility, but the ecnomic crisis squashed that deal. But with a reported final cost estimated to potentially top out at almost $790 million, we'd hope that future use would most certainly would be addressed. So now? The facilty will scale down to a school for about 500 students and may also potentially host, alongside track and field, soccer and rugby. What do you think? What would you do with a venue of that size?
